Ingredients
  

Fruits
  • 4 large oranges peeled and chopped
  • 1 medium lemon juiced
Sweeteners
  • 3 cups granulated sugar adjust to taste
Preserving Agents
  • 1 packet pectin for thickening

Method
 

Prepare the Oranges
  1. Peel and chop the oranges, removing any seeds.
  2. In a large pot, combine the chopped oranges and lemon juice.
Cook the Jam
  1. Add the sugar to the pot and stir until dissolved.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring frequently.
  3. Once boiling, add the pectin and continue to boil for 10 minutes.
Jar the Jam
  1. Remove the pot from heat and skim off any foam.
  2. Using a ladle and canning funnel, fill sterilized jars with the hot jam, leaving 1/4 inch headspace.
  3. Seal the jars with lids and process in a boiling water bath for 10 minutes.

Notes
