Prepare the Dough
- In a mixing bowl, combine warm water and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
- Add flour, olive oil, and salt to the yeast mixture. Mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour.
Make the Garlic Cream Sauce
- In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Stir in heavy cream, salt, pepper, and Parmesan cheese. Cook for 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened. Remove from heat.
Assemble the Pizza
- Preheat the oven to 475°F (245°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven to heat.
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness. Transfer to a pizza stone or baking sheet.
- Spread the garlic cream sauce over the dough, then sprinkle with mozzarella cheese and fresh basil.
- Drizzle with olive oil and bake for 12-15 minutes until the crust is golden and cheese is bubbly.
Serve
- Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Slice and serve warm.
