Method
Prepare the Meatballs
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, bread crumbs, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Form the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
Cook the Meatballs
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add meatballs and cook until browned on all sides, about 10 minutes.
- Remove meatballs from the skillet and set aside.
Make the Gravy
- In the same skillet, add flour and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
- Gradually whisk in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce. Bring to a simmer and cook until thickened, about 5 minutes.
- Return meatballs to the skillet and coat with gravy. Simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
Prepare the Mashed Potatoes
- Boil potatoes in a pot of salted water until tender, about 15 minutes. Drain well.
- Add warm milk, butter, salt, and pepper to the potatoes. Mash until smooth and creamy.
Serve
- Plate the mashed potatoes and top with Salisbury meatballs and gravy. Serve hot.
