Ingredients
  

Puff Pastry
  • 1 package puff pastry sheets thawed if frozen
Butter
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter melted for brushing
Egg Wash
  • 1 large egg beaten
  • 1 tablespoon water

Method
 

Prepare Puff Pastry
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry sheets on a lightly floured surface to smooth out any creases.
Cut and Shape Croissants
  1. Cut the puff pastry into triangles (about 4 inches wide at the base).
  2. Starting from the base of each triangle, roll the pastry up towards the tip to form a croissant shape.
Prepare for Baking
  1. Place the rolled croissants on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  2. Brush the tops of the croissants with melted butter.
Bake
  1. In a small bowl, mix the beaten egg with water to create an egg wash.
  2. Brush the egg wash over the croissants.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
Serve
  1. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
  2. Enjoy your freshly baked puff pastry croissants!

Notes
