Method
Prepare Puff Pastry
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roll out the puff pastry sheets on a lightly floured surface to smooth out any creases.
Cut and Shape Croissants
- Cut the puff pastry into triangles (about 4 inches wide at the base).
- Starting from the base of each triangle, roll the pastry up towards the tip to form a croissant shape.
Prepare for Baking
- Place the rolled croissants on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Brush the tops of the croissants with melted butter.
Bake
- In a small bowl, mix the beaten egg with water to create an egg wash.
- Brush the egg wash over the croissants.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
Serve
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
