Prepare the Meatballs
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, uncooked rice, beaten egg, chopped onion, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Mix until well combined.
- Shape the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
Cook the Meatballs
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and add the meatballs. Brown on all sides, about 5-7 minutes.
Prepare the Sauce
- In a saucepan, combine diced tomatoes, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, sugar, and Italian seasoning. Bring to a simmer.
Combine and Simmer
- Pour the sauce over the browned meatballs in the skillet. Cover and simmer for 20-25 minutes, until the rice is cooked through.
