Ingredients
  

  • 4 slices bread sourdough or your preferred type
  • 1 cup cooked chicken shredded or sliced
  • 4 slices mozzarella cheese or 1 cup shredded mozzarella
  • 1/4 cup marinara sauce
  • 2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter softened
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Method
 

  1. Prepare your ingredients by shredding or slicing the cooked chicken.
  2. Spread softened unsalted butter on one side of each slice of bread.
  3. Assemble the sandwich by layering shredded chicken, marinara sauce, mozzarella cheese, grated parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning on the unbuttered side of two slices of bread.
  4. Top with the other two slices of bread, buttered side facing out, and press down gently.
  5. Grill the sandwiches in a skillet over medium heat for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and cheese is melted.
  6. Slice the sandwiches diagonally and serve hot with extra marinara sauce on the side.
