  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup warm water around 110°F
  • 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary chopped

Method
 

Prepare the Dough
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add olive oil, salt, and chopped rosemary to the yeast mixture.
  3. Gradually add flour, mixing until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
First Rise
  1. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
Shape and Second Rise
  1. Punch down the risen dough and shape it into a loaf.
  2. Place the loaf in a greased loaf pan, cover, and let it rise for another 30 minutes.
Bake the Bread
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Bake the bread for 25 minutes or until golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped.
  3. Remove from the oven and let it cool on a wire rack before slicing.
