Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar plus more for rolling
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped pecans

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the vanilla extract and mix well until fully incorporated.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, mixing until well combined.
  6. Fold in the chopped pecans until evenly distributed.
  7. Shape the dough into small balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
