  • 2 medium ripe bananas mashed
  • 1 cup peanut butter smooth or crunchy
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup for sweetness
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips semi-sweet or dark

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish (8x8 inches).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas, peanut butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. Add the baking soda and honey (or maple syrup) to the mixture and stir until fully incorporated.
  4. Fold in the chocolate chips gently into the batter.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes or until the edges are golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Allow to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before slicing into bars.
