Ingredients
  

Chicken and Seasoning
  • 4 pieces chicken breasts boneless, skinless
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning store-bought or homemade
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
Butter Sauce
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 cup chicken broth low sodium
  • 1 tablespoon garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce optional
Vegetables
  • 1 cup bell pepper chopped
  • 1 cup onion chopped
  • 1 cup celery chopped

Method
 

Prepare the Chicken
  1. Season the chicken breasts with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  2. Place the seasoned chicken in the bottom of the crockpot.
Make the Butter Sauce
  1. In a bowl, mix together melted butter, chicken broth, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, and hot sauce.
  2. Pour the butter sauce over the chicken in the crockpot.
Add Vegetables
  1. Add chopped bell pepper, onion, and celery on top of the chicken and sauce.
Cook the Dish
  1. Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 6 hours or until the chicken is tender and cooked through.
Serve
  1. Once cooked, shred the chicken with two forks and mix it with the sauce and vegetables.
  2. Serve hot over rice or with crusty bread.
