Ingredients
  

Pasta and Sauce Base
  • 12 oz Pasta (Fusilli or Penne) Uncooked
  • 2 cups Vegetable Broth Low sodium
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream Or half-and-half
  • 1 cup Pesto Sauce Store-bought or homemade
  • 1 cup Parmesan Cheese Grated
Seasoning
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Salt To taste
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper Freshly ground
Garnish
  • 1/4 cup Pine Nuts Toasted
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Basil Chopped

Method
 

Cook the Pasta
  1. In a large pot, combine the uncooked pasta, vegetable broth, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
  2. Once boiling, reduce heat to medium and cook for about 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is al dente and most of the liquid is absorbed.
Add Cream and Pesto
  1. Stir in the heavy cream and pesto sauce until well combined.
  2. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through.
Finish and Serve
  1. Remove from heat and stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy.
  2. Serve immediately, garnished with toasted pine nuts and fresh basil.
