Ingredients
  

Chicken
  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
Pesto Sauce
  • 1 cup store-bought or homemade pesto
Cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Seasonings
  • 1 teaspoon salt to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

Method
 

Prepare the Chicken
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
Assemble the Dish
  1. Spread the pesto evenly over the chicken breasts.
  2. Sprinkle the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top of the pesto-covered chicken.
Bake the Chicken
  1. Place the chicken in a baking dish and bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  2. Check the internal temperature of the chicken; it should reach 165°F (75°C).
Serve
  1. Remove from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
  2. Serve hot, garnished with fresh basil if desired.

Notes
