Method
Prepare the Dough
- In a mixing bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until foamy.
- Add flour and salt to the yeast mixture. Stir with a wooden spoon until a shaggy dough forms.
- Cover the bowl with a kitchen towel and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
Cook the Bread
- After the dough has risen, shape it into a ball and place it on a piece of parchment paper.
- Place the parchment paper with the dough into the crock pot.
- Cover the crock pot and cook on high for 2 to 3 hours, or until the bread is golden brown and cooked through.
Cool and Serve
- Once cooked, carefully remove the bread from the crock pot and let it cool on a wire rack for at least 15 minutes.
- Slice and serve warm, or store in an airtight container.
