Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour sifted
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon ground
  • 1 teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 cups apples peeled and chopped
Optional Ingredients
  • 1 cup walnuts chopped
  • 1 cup raisins

Method
 

Prepare the Oven and Pan
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan.
Mix Dry Ingredients
  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
Mix Wet Ingredients
  1. In another bowl, combine sugar, vegetable oil, and eggs. Mix until well blended.
Combine Mixtures
  1. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
Add Apples and Optional Ingredients
  1. Fold in the chopped apples, and if desired, add walnuts and raisins.
Bake the Bread
  1. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Cool and Serve
  1. Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
