Method
Prepare the Oven and Pan
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan.
Mix Dry Ingredients
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
Mix Wet Ingredients
- In another bowl, combine sugar, vegetable oil, and eggs. Mix until well blended.
Combine Mixtures
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
Add Apples and Optional Ingredients
- Fold in the chopped apples, and if desired, add walnuts and raisins.
Bake the Bread
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Cool and Serve
- Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
