Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped cabbage
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Dumpling wrappers (round)
  • Water for sealing

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, cabbage, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, and black pepper. Mix well.
  2. Place a dumpling wrapper in your hand and add about 1 tablespoon of filling to the center. Moisten edges with water and fold over to seal tightly.
  3. Create decorative pleats by folding the edges together.
  4. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat and arrange dumplings in a single layer. Cook until bottoms are golden brown.
  5. Pour water into the skillet until dumplings are 1/3 submerged; cover to steam until cooked through.
  6. Once water evaporates, remove lid and cook for another minute to crisp up the bottoms.
  7. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
