  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 8 oz can tomato sauce
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons chili seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper
  • 1 27 oz can chili beans (do not drain)

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté chopped onion until softened, about 2 minutes. Add garlic and continue sautéing for another 2 minutes.
  2. Add ground beef to the pot, breaking it apart as it browns thoroughly.
  3. Stir in tomato sauce, water, chili seasoning, salt, and crushed red pepper. Simmer for 20 minutes.
  4. Add chili beans (do not drain) and simmer for an additional 10 minutes until thickened.
