  • 8 skinless, boneless chicken thighs
  • 2 tbsp cornflour (cornstarch)
  • 4 cloves minced garlic
  • 110 g (1/3 cup) honey
  • 80 ml (1/3 cup) chicken stock
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter

Instructions

  1. Coat the chicken thighs in a mixture of cornflour, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large frying pan over high heat. Sear the chicken for about 4-5 minutes on one side until golden brown, then flip and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  3. Lower the heat, add butter and minced garlic to the pan, stirring until fragrant.
  4. In a bowl, mix honey, chicken stock, rice vinegar, and light soy sauce. Pour over the chicken and bring to a boil.
  5. Simmer for 4-5 minutes until the sauce thickens and becomes sticky.
  6. Serve garnished with fresh parsley and chili flakes over boiled rice.
