  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt (plus more to taste)
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper (plus more to taste)
  • 1/2 tbsp olive oil
  • 6 tbsp unsalted butter (divided)
  • 2 cloves garlic (finely diced)
  • 1/2 cup vegetable stock
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish)
  • Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

  1. In a shallow dish, mix flour, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Coat each salmon fillet evenly.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat. Cook the salmon fillets for about 3 minutes on one side until golden brown. Flip and cook for another 2 minutes while adding butter to baste.
  3. Remove the salmon and lower the heat. Sauté diced garlic until fragrant, then add vegetable stock to deglaze the pan. Stir in remaining butter until combined.
  4. Return salmon to the pan, simmer briefly in the sauce, and serve with fresh lemon wedges.
