  • 6 ounces extra sharp cheddar cheese (shredded)

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta shells in boiling salted water according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, heat olive oil. Add ground beef and cook until browned, about 3 to 5 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Stir in diced onion and sauté until translucent, about 2 to 3 minutes.
  4. Add minced garlic, Italian seasoning, paprika, and mustard powder; cook for an additional minute.
  5. Whisk in flour until lightly browned, about 1 minute.
  6. Gradually add beef stock and tomato sauce; bring to a boil then reduce heat and simmer for about 6 to 8 minutes until slightly thickened.
  7. Stir in cooked pasta shells, heavy cream, and season with salt and pepper; gently heat through without boiling.
  8. Mix in shredded cheddar cheese until melted and smooth.
