  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • 1 lb chicken breasts, cut into small pieces
  • 10 tbsp butter, divided
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp poultry seasoning
  • 4 tbsp flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F. In a large baking dish, combine the onion, carrots, celery, wild rice, and chicken broth. Cover tightly with foil and bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
  2. Meanwhile, melt 4 tablespoons of butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add flour, salt, and poultry seasoning; cook for about 1 minute. Gradually whisk in the milk until smooth.
  3. After the rice has cooked, remove it from the oven and add raw chicken pieces along with the creamy sauce. Stir gently to combine; top with cubed bread if using.
