  • 1 cup soft baking caramels (melted)
  • 1 medium green apple (chopped or thinly sliced)
  • 1 cup chopped gluten-free pretzels or nuts (pecans, walnuts, or almonds)
  • 1/4 cup melted chocolate for drizzle

Instructions

  1. Soak the chopped apple pieces in water and lemon juice for 5-10 minutes to prevent browning.
  2. Melt the chocolate and coconut oil together using a double boiler or microwave until smooth.
  3. Line a 9×13 inch sheet pan with parchment paper and pour melted chocolate onto it, spreading evenly into a 1/4 inch thick layer.
  4. Layer crushed pretzels first, followed by diced apples. Drizzle melted caramel and chocolate on top.
  5. Refrigerate for 1-2 hours until set; for extra firmness, freeze for the last 20 minutes.
  6. Break or cut the bark into pieces and enjoy!
