  • 4 slices cheddar cheese (halved)
  • ¾ pound deli-cut chicken
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter (softened)
  • 2 tablespoons yellow mustard
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • ½ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 large egg white
  • Poppy seeds (for sprinkling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Slice each mini croissant in half horizontally. Layer half a slice of cheese on the bottom half of each croissant, followed by a slice of chicken and another half slice of cheese. Top with the other half of the croissant.
  3. In a bowl, mix softened butter with mustard, honey, and Worcestershire sauce until smooth.
  4. Spread the butter mixture inside each assembled croissant sandwich.
  5. Arrange the sandwiches in a lightly greased baking dish.
  6. Whisk together an egg white with a splash of water and brush this over the tops of the croissants; sprinkle with poppy seeds.
  7. Bake for about 15-18 minutes until cheese is melted and tops are golden brown.
