  • 1/2 cup butter (softened)
  • 2/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 3/4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 large apples (peeled and chopped)
  • 1/3 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 13 tablespoons of milk or cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. Mix brown sugar and cinnamon in a bowl; set aside.
  3. Cream butter and granulated sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well.
  4. Combine flour and baking powder in another bowl. Gradually add to the wet mixture while alternating with milk.
  5. Fold in chopped apples.
  6. Pour half the batter into the prepared pan, sprinkle with half the cinnamon mixture, then add remaining batter topped with the rest of the swirl.
  7. Bake for about 55 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
